performance
solo, chamber & orchestra
This has been my primary focus and performance experience both during my studies and as an independent musician. I enjoy playing a wide range of musical styles and collaborating with up-and-coming composers in highlighting the oboe’s versatility. As a young musician my most memorable moments were playing my first symphony, Shostakovich’s Symphony #10 and on being conducted by the First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon as I performed the Proclaimers’ “500 miles” with the Nevis Ensemble in Glasgow City Chambers.
I have played with a variety of professional and amateur orchestras and chamber groups both in the UK and in Central and Eastern Europe.
Over the last few years, I have performed with several chamber groups from duos to larger ensembles which has allowed me to further develop as a classical musician as well as providing a vehicle through which to experiment with improvisation and a variety of fusion genres.

I am a hard-working dedicated musician with considerable experience as an oboe and cor anglais player. I enjoy playing with wind and strings in a variety of traditional, cross-over and experimental genres. If you are looking for an oboist for any upcoming orchestral or chamber music performances or projects, I would love to explore ways to collaborate with you.
Musical theatre
One of the most joyful performing experiences I have had has been as a musician in musical theatre. This is perhaps due to the ease with which it connects to the audience on multiple levels with song, dance, dialogue and music and the opportunities it opens for the musician to play multiple instruments. A standout moment in musical theatre was perhaps my first performance in Chess in which as a band musician I was on stage interacting with the cast. Although my principle instruments are oboe and cor anglais, I also play saxophone, clarinet and flute which enables me to perform in a wide range of productions.
